Step into Dance Marketing & Events Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Marketing & Events Officer, based in our offices in Battersea.

Salary range: £22,000 – £25,500 pa
Contract type: 1 year fixed term contract (renewable) / full time

 

Step into Dance is a partnership between the Jack Petchey Foundation and the Royal Academy of Dance. Each year, the programme provides extra-curricular classes and performance opportunities to 200 mainstream and SEN secondary schools across London and Essex.

Your will be responsible for the marketing and press strategies for Step into Dance, as well as organising the programmes’ events, such as Watch this Step, Step in2 Battle, Borough events and Step LIVE!.

Skills

You will have previous work experience in a marketing and press capacity and events organisation, ideally in an arts related organisation. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have excellent written communication in English, and experience in the use of social media platforms for business purposes. Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Desktop publishing (Adobe, Photoshop and InDesign) and video editing are essential. The ability to work within a team situation, provide exceptional customer service and excellent organisation skills with effective time management are all essential. Your willingness to work on a wide range of tasks demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail will be needed. You will be required to work with a wide range of people and to build successful working relationships.

Knowledge of marketing for dance is essential and knowledge of dance and theatre practices would be an advantage.
