The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education and teaching, and to the promotion and development of dance worldwide. Through its Faculty of Education, the RAD is an Accredited Provider of Initial Teacher Training and is a registered provider of higher education with the Office for Students (OfS). The Faculty of Education delivers internationally recognised qualifications including university-validated degrees and its own awards.
The RAD are looking to appoint a Head of Learning and Teaching who will contibute significantly to the business and on-going development initiatives within the Faculty of Education. Informed by a strong education background and leadership experience in an educational setting, as a member of RADs Faculty of Education Senior Management team you will take a strategic lead in the learning, teaching and assessment provision across Faculty of Education dance teacher education and training programmes. You will have a strong interest in, and experience of developing high quality learning opportunities covering in-person, online, virtual and hybrid modes of delivery. As well as teaching and tutoring on selected modules, including supervision of dissertations and work-based research projects, you will be responsible for supporting academic staff in their professional development. In addition, you will work with colleagues and external points of reference in establishing and embedding initiatives to support and promote student wellbeing.
