Programmes and Placements Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the form of a Programmes and Placements Manager in the Faculty of Education.
Salary range: £27,000 – £31,000 p.a. pro rata
Contract type: Fixed term 9 month maternity cover – with the possibility of extension
Working days: Monday to Thursday / part time
Start date: 23 November 2015 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education and teaching, and to promoting and investing in the development of dance worldwide. The Academy’s Faculty of Education offers internationally recognised qualifications including university validated degrees, RAD awards and an international Continuing Professional Development Programme.
Working closely with staff and students to ensure that the programmes are delivered to the highest standard in an efficient, timely and professional manner, you will be responsible for:
- establishing and managing practical teaching placements for students on programmes leading to degree awards of the University of Bath and awards of the Royal Academy of Dance, and
- providing administrative support for the delivery of programmes of study leading to awards of the RAD (Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance, Professional Dancers’ Teaching Diploma and Professional Dancers’ Postgraduate Teaching Certificate).
SKILLS
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have substantial experience of working in an administrative capacity in education or arts management and ideally in a higher or further education context. Experience of communicating with users in a front-line activity or project internationally would also be an advantage.
You will have excellent:
- oral and written communication skills in English
- analytical and IT skills (MS office)
- interpersonal and negotiation skills
- organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
Your ability to use initiative, work independently and have the confidence to make decisions and experience of working with a website content management system are also necessary.
