Membership Communications Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the form of the role of Membership Communications Manager, based in our offices in Battersea.

Salary type: £30,000 to £33,000 p.a.
Contract type: fixed term 9 month maternity cover – with the possibility of extension / full-time
Start date: 9 November 2015 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

 

The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education, teaching, promoting and investing in the development of dance world-wide.

The main objectives for the exciting role of the Membership Communications Manager are to satisfy the needs of the membership base, to improve recruitment rates and to deliver high quality services to the membership and the wider public.

Skills

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, enthusiastic individual with experience of working in a Membership Marketing and Services role, including:

 

  • experience of overseeing the planning and delivery of membership campaigns
  • extensive experience of working with a membership/client database
  • strong administrative skills

 

Your knowledge of Email marketing software (MailChimp), CMS, Google Analytics and Photoshop and/or InDesign would be an advantage as well as any experience of monitoring and evaluating members’ engagement with CPD but these are not essential.

You will be educated to at least degree level standard or equivalent, have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a good use of the internet and email.

You will have:

 

  • the ability to manage a team
  • the ability to analyse and process data accurately and to produce database reports
  • the ability to provide an exceptional standard of customer service whilst promoting and selling products and services
  • excellent written and spoken communication skills in English excellent organisational skills with effective time management

 

Your willingness to work on a wide range of tasks demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail will be needed. Your ability to work within a team as well as using your initiative are both essential. A second language would also be an advantage, but not essential.
