#ForTheLoveOfArts, a series of performances curated and produced by Michelle Collins, launched this week as part of a fundraising drive to raise money for the Equity Benevolent Fund.

Fifty British actors have filmed monologues, readings and performances from their homes during lockdown to raise money for creative workers affected by the coronavirus crisis. Many of the recordings are available now on the Equity Benevolent Fund YouTube channel, with more to come later today.

The Equity Benevolent Fund continues to help members in need of support and to date, has provided more than 2,000 members with financial assistance. However, the Fund is currently giving out £86,000 a week and, with no signs that applications will slow down, donations from the public are vital to ensure we can continue to support everyone who needs our help during this pandemic.
