RAD - Sales Assistant
Sales Assistant | Battersea, London
Permanent | Full-time Tuesday – Saturday (34.5 hours per week)
Tuesday to Thursday – 10am to 6pm; Friday – 10am to 5:30pm and Saturdays 9am to 4:30pm
£17,000 to £19,000 per annum
The Royal Academy of Dance is a global leader in dance education and teaching, driving excellence in the development of dance world-wide. RAD Enterprises Ltd is a multi-faceted company with a dynamic retail outlet currently located at the Academy’s HQ in Battersea, London, and an established online and mail order business.
You will have proven sales and customer service experience in a retail environment and will have developed sound interpersonal, organisation and IT skills. Excellent communication skills together with a pro-active and methodical approach are essential.
This opportunity comes at an exciting time as RAD enterprises Ltd plan to move to their new HQ at 188 York Road in Wandsworth. This provides an exciting opportunity for the Enterprises team to provide an extraordinary shopping experience both in person and online with an extraordinary retail outlet. The new shop will be 106sqm of retail space dedicated to RAD dancewear and resources, casual clothing and gifts, providing a one-stop destination in south London for dance enthusiasts. RAD Enterprises is also due to complete its upgrade to a new and dynamic website platform which integrates with its new retail system.
If you have retail experience and are passionate about delivering excellent service, then this is the role for you. In addition, previous experience of being a first aider and/or a willingness to train as a first aider are preferable. Training would be provided and you will become one of the Academy’s first Aid team ensuring the wellbeing and safety of the Academy’s community. They also welcome applications from people who have trained on pointe ballet shoes and understand the importance of a well fitted ballet shoe. Further training will be provided.
Offer of employment will be subject to criminal record clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
