Benesh Membership Manager - Royal Academy of Dance

£30,000 per annum pro rata 
18-month fixed term contract
Part-time |14 hours per week | London

The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education and teaching, and to promoting and investing in the development of dance worldwide. Incorporated within the RAD, Benesh Internationalis the home of Benesh Movement Notation (BMN) and is the centre for a written system for recording human movement. It is most widely used in the recording and restaging of dance works.

In this newly created role, you will work closely with the Head of Benesh International to create, develop and service the needs of the membership base, to improve recruitment rates and to deliver high quality services to the membership and the wider public.


This is a superb opportunity for an individual with previous experience of working in a membership services role, ideally within an arts sector or professional body, as well as experience of implementing successful recruitment strategies and strong administration. 

You will have sound IT skills and all round first class communication skills in English including the ability to write and adapt copy for a range of targeted communications.

With a real commitment to top quality customer service, you will have excellent interpersonal skills in building effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including dance companies, notators, colleagues, students, teachers and the public. Excellent organisational skills, together with the talent to multi-task, prioritise, and see tasks through to completion whilst demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail within this busy part-time role are essential.
