RAD - Lecturer in Dance Education


We wish to appoint a Lecturer in Dance Education to contribute to the development of the Faculty of Education.

£26,000 - £32,000 per annum | 3 year fixed term contract | Full-time 34.5 hours’ p/w Start date of appointment: 10 September 2018

You will be responsible for the teaching, assessment and development of teacher education and training modules across all Faculty of Education programmes, including supervision of practical teaching placements. You will have a strong commitment towards pastoral student matters as well as an interest in developing Faculty of Education practices in this area. As part of this role, you will also undertake administrative duties associated with teaching and the day- to-day management and support of students.

You should be committed and enthusiastic with an excellent educational background including a postgraduate degree (or near completion of postgraduate degree) or equivalent. You will need comprehensive knowledge and experience of teaching and the ability to co-ordinate teaching and other related activities to meet deadlines and targets. Moreover, you will have a strong understanding of student support and pastoral matters in education and higher education. Familiarity with blended and distance learning and teaching strategies and objectives and up to date knowledge and understanding of current educational issues relating to both theory and practice are also essential.
