Dance School Administrator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dance School Administrator within the Training team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the administration of the RAD Dance School classes ensuring a high quality and commercially viable programme of classes and events with maximum participant numbers throughout the year.
Salary range: £22,000 to £26,000 p.a. pro rata
Contract type: Fixed term 1 year / Part-time 4 days per week
The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education, teaching, promoting and investing in the development of dance world-wide. The RAD Dance School, based at our premises in Battersea, offers a wide variety of dance classes for young people and adults with classes taking place during the afternoon and evenings Monday to Friday and also all day on Saturday during term time.
You will:
- plan, co-ordinate and administer RAD Dance School classes
- contribute ideas for high quality, innovative and successful RAD Dance School classes and events
- promote RAD Dance School to ensure maximum numbers and income
- provide point of contact for students / parents / guardians with excellent customer service, and
- administer RAD graded and vocational ballet examinations for RAD Dance School students.
Skills
You will have:
- considerable experience in putting strong administrative skills into practice in a busy environment
- experience of financial and budgetary controls
- experience of supervising a small team, and
- knowledge of Safeguarding issues, Health and Safety practices and Data Protection legislation.
You should be committed and enthusiastic with degree level education or equivalent, and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and a good use of the internet and email.
You will also have:
- the ability to analyse and process data accurately
- excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with enquiries from the general public, colleagues and students with an excellent customer service focus, and
- excellent organisational skills with effective time management.
Appointment to this post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service, Disclosure Scotland or other applicable international body.
