Dance Studies Co-ordinator Vacancy

RAD is currently recruiting for a Dance Studies Co-ordinator based in their offices in Battersea, London.

The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education, teaching, promoting and investing in the development of dance world-wide.

The RAD Dance School, based at our premises in Battersea, offers a wide variety of dance classes for young people and adults with classes taking place during the afternoon and evenings Monday to Friday and also all day on Saturday during term time.

An opportunity has arisen for a Dance Studies Co-ordinator who will manage the administration of the GCSE/GCE AS & A2 Level Dance courses ensuring a high quality and commercially viable programme with maximum participants numbers.

SKILLS


 

You will have:

  • experience of working in an administrative capacity within a busy office environment
  • experience of working with budgets
  • knowledge of 14 – 19 education programmes
  • knowledge of Safeguarding related issues and Health and Safety practices 

 

You should be committed and enthusiastic with A Level education or equivalent, and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and a good use of the internet and email.
You will:

  • plan, co-ordinate and administer the RAD GCSE/GCE AS and A2 Level Dance courses
  • promote courses to ensure maximum numbers and income
  • provide point of contact for students / parents / guardians with excellent customer service
  • administer all examinations for the GCSE/GCE AS and A2 Level Dance courses

 

You will have:

  • proficient numeracy skills
  • excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with enquiries from the general public, colleagues and students with an excellent customer service focus
  • excellent organisational skills with effective time management

 

Appointment to this post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service, Disclosure Scotland or other applicable international body.
