Continuing Professional Development Administrative Assistant
The RAD is looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to support the running of the its Continuing Professional Development activities.
Salary: £18,000 to £20,000 p.a.
Contract type: 1 year fixed term contract (full time)
The Royal Academy of Dance is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education and teaching, and to promoting and investing in the development of dance world-wide. The Academy’s Faculty of Education offers internationally recognised qualifications including university-validated degrees, RAD awards and an international Continuing Professional Development Scheme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the CPD Department to ensure the smooth and efficient running of CPD activities. Liaising closely with the Finance team, you will assist with financial processes for CPD activities including receipt of applications and processing of payments. You will deliver high quality customer service at all times whether dealing with members/customers face-to-face, by telephone or by email/in writing.
Working closely with other members of the CPD team, you will:
- provide excellent customer service
- provide administrative support to the team
- process and log applications(including taking credit/debit card payments)
- provide information to members regarding CPD activities
Skills
You will be educated to A-level standard or equivalent and have excellent oral and written communication skills in English as well as proficient numeracy skills. You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint) and a good understanding of the use of the internet and email.
You will need to:
- have excellent organisational skills with effective time management
- work on a wide range of tasks demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
- work within a team as well as using your initiative
- have the ability to multi-task
A working knowledge of the field of education and knowledge of current issues in Continuing Professional Development are also helpful but not essential.
